Bellevue Little Theatre, 203 W. Mission Ave., in Bellevue, will hold auditions for William Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” on Sunday and Monday, November 6 and 7 at 7 PM. at the theatre, 203 W. Mission Ave., in Bellevue. Call backs will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 7 if necessary.
The first rehearsal will be held on Dec. 5.
This Shakespearean classic will open on Friday Feb. 3 and run for three week-ends, closing on Sunday Feb. 19th. Suzanne Withem is directing this production, with Mary Trecek serving as producer.
The director is seeking ten to fifteen actors (ages 14 and up) of all genders and ethnic groups for this production. Auditions will consist of cold readings of scenes and monologues from the play. Those auditioning are strongly encouraged become familiar with the story and text of this comedy prior to the audition. Full text of the script is readily available online as are synopses and study guides. A prepared Shakespeare monologue is not required for this audition, but if you have one on hand, time will be provided for you to present it.
