ATTICREP announces
Dance Auditions December 20 and 21
for From the Mahabharata a Dance Theatre Performance
at The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.
We are looking for an ensemble of 15 dancers of different ages, performance/movement and ethnic backgrounds. Dancers with a background on musicals, modern dance, ethic dance, and ballet are encouraged to audition!

Auditioners should come prepared to present a 1-2 minute routine in the style of dance you are most comfortable with. They may also be asked to learn a routine in a style of dance they are not familiar with to determine adaptability and versatility.

Auditioners will receive confirmation of your time via email. They should provide a headshot and resume during the audition. Callbacks will be scheduled for the casting of selected roles for the season productions at a later date.

FROM THE MAHABHARATA runs June 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13 14. Performances on Wednesday,Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 PM, And Sunday at 2:30 PM in the Carlos Alvarez Studio Theatre in the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.
FROM THE MAHABARATHA takes an episode of The Mahabharata, the sacred Sanskrit text, and translates it into a contemporary dance theatre performance. This is a collaboration between AtticRep, the Indian performing arts community living in San Antonio, Kausi Subramanian, AnujuaSA, and SOLI Chamber Ensemble. A unique performance that will bring together the creativity of the east and the west into a fusion of tradition and contemporary performance.
AtticRep was founded in September of 2005 and strives to challenge the creative imagination of our community, create immediate and intimate performance-driven theater, and inspire dialogue that informs and provokes change.
