WORLD PREMIERE
Acclaimed director, writer Nancy Gregory has created a rollicking new book musical that pays tribute to the unique Cajun culture, music and dance. She has brought in a stellar team of artists, such as; Jeff Barry, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Songwriter and Joe Stewart, a multiple Emmy Award winning Production Designer.

DANCE AUDITIONS WILL BE AS A GROUP FROM10AM TO NOON. PLEASE COME WARMED UP AND READY TO START FOR 10AM.
ACTOR/SINGER AUDITIONS WILL BE INDIVIDUALLY FROM 1PM TO 6PM. EVERYONE IS ASKED TO PREPARE A 60 SECOND MONOLOGUE (STRONG CONSIDERATION GIVEN TO THOSE WHO CAN SPEAK WITH A CAJUN ACCENT) AND 2 CONTRASTING VOCAL PIECES. AN ACCOMPANIST WILL BE PROVIDED OR YOU MAY SING A CAPPELLA. PLEASE BRING SHEET MUSIC.
PLEASE NOTE: Dancers that wish to audition as Actors/Singers as well will need to sign up for both sets of auditions.

The run of the show will be Sept 7, 8, 9, 10. This is a paid workshop for the premiere of the show, with a national tour being organized to follow. The performances will be at the Heymann Performing Arts Center in Lafayette, LA (1373 S College Rd, Lafayette, LA 70503). Cast members will have an opportunity to join the national tour. All performers will be compensated by the producer. Rehearsal will be in Lafayette starting at the end of July through August. Not everyone will be called every day.
