HEDDA GABLER - The Rose Theatre

Medusa Theatre Company will be holding auditions for "Hedda Gabler" by Henrik Ibsen on Sunday July 14th from 12:00-3:00PM at The Rose Theatre 1320 Lincoln Avenue Holbrook, NY. Actors 18+ should bring a stapled headshot and resume and prepare a 1-2 minute classical or contemporary monologue. Please arrive at 12:00 to sign up. The show will have six performances at The Rose Theatre with one performance in NYC. Rehearsals will be Mondays and Thursdays from 7-9 PM throughout October and November. Show Dates at The Rose Theatre are Wed. Dec. 4th 8PM, Sat. Dec. 7th 3PM,Sun. Dec. 8th 3PM, Wed. Dec. 11th 8PM, Sat. Dec. 14th 3PM, and Sun. Dec. 15th 3PM. See the character breakdown below. (Note the role of Hedda has already been cast):

George Tesman - Hedda's husband, an academic who is interested in research. Congenial, and friendly. Age Range: 30-45

Juliana Tesman - George's loving aunt who has raised him since early childhood. Age Range: 45-70

Thea Elvsted - A former schoolmate of Hedda and a former acquaintance of George in an unhappy marriage. Feminine, and vulnerable. Age Range: 25-40

Judge Brack - A family friend who is secretly in love with Hedda. Tall, manipulative, masculine, sarcastic. Age Range: 30-45

Eilert Lövborg - A scholar and recovering alcoholic. Eilert was once in love with Hedda. Tall, very handsome, poetic, and honest. Age Range: 30-45

Berta - A servant at the Tesmans. Age Range 20-60
