DREAMING AGAIN - New Hampshire Theatre Project

Auditions are open for a revival tour of DREAMING AGAIN, a play about the immigrant experience in the state of New Hampshire. We are seeking 4 versatile actors of diverse backgrounds to bring these powerful stories to life.

DREAMING AGAIN was created in 2012 by New Hampshire Theatre Project with the support of the NH Humanities Council. The production is a tapestry of oral histories woven together from interviews with over 40 immigrants and refugees to the state.

As a four-actor ensemble, each performer will play multiple roles throughout the production, giving voice to the state’s unique immigrant population.

This play will tour to schools and community spaces around the state of New Hampshire for two weeks. Housing, per diem, and a weekly pay of $800 will be provided to all actors. The rehearsal and tour schedule is as follows:

Rehearsals: March 19 - 25 (Portsmouth, NH)

Tour: March 26 - April 8 (various location in NH)

We encourage all actors, regardless of ethnicity, race, or national origin to audition for the ensemble. Special consideration will be given to performers who identify as immigrants themselves, or can sing or play an instrument, although it is not required.

Actors can self tape a monologue of their choice and submit to
cj@nhtheatreproject.org.

The current tour is funded by the Eppes-Jefferson Foundation.
