BPA Auditions for Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID

February 8 & 9: Monday @ 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. & Tuesday @ 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.
at Bainbridge Performing Arts (BPA)

Bainbridge Performing Arts is pleased to announce Auditions for Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID, February 8 and 9 at BPA. Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID is directed by Joanna Hardie, with music direction by Josh Anderson, and choreography by Debbie Pierce. Run dates are May 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 23, 27, 28 & 29, with a Pay-What-You-Can Preview May 12. Rehearsals are March 14 – May 5, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. plus Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Roles are available for 11 – 14 women and 12 – 15 men, ages 16 and up and one youth age 11 – 14. All roles are open to audition, and interested parties may view a complete listing of characters online at
www.bainbridgeperformingarts.org/collections/auditions.

Those auditioning are requested to prepare a one-two minute monologue and 32 bars of a contemporary musical theatre piece. An accompanist will be provided but participants must bring sheet music – clearly marked and in a three-ring binder. Please – no outside accompanists or acapella singing.

Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs including Under the Sea, Kiss the Girl, and Part of Your World. Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID is produced by special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
