CASTING MALES Age 18-30 FOR VARIOUS ROLES INCLUDING THE LEAD ROLE OF JEFF BARRY
Auditionees should prepare 32-40 bars each of a ballad and an up-tempo piece in 60s pop, do-wop or belt style
A light movement audition will take place as will cold readings
No monologues will be seen at this audition

an accomplished Songwriter in the studios of Gus Sharkey Who falls in love with and marries Ellie Greenwich with whom he enjoys much success. His want for a family and a quieter place may cause a divide in their marriage.
Keith/Peter/Lon/Joey/Christopher/Danny (Featured Ensemble): Male, 20-30, All Ethnicities
Male Songwriters and Recording Artists at The Brill Building.
Gus Sharkey (Supporting): Male, 25-49, Caucasian, Hispanic
Gus Sharkey is a big-time record producer at the Brill Building who employs Jeff Barry, Ellie Greenwich and many more. A very selfish, demanding, condescending and uncompassionate man, this character is loosely based on real life record producer Phil Spector.
