FPAC ANNOUNCES OPEN AUDITIONS FOR NEW MUSICAL CAROL’S CHRISTMAS

The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) will hold open auditions for Carol’s Christmas, an original new musical written by Nick Paone. Auditions will take place on Tuesday, October 8, at 14 Main Street in Hudson and on Saturday, October 12, at 38 Main Street in Franklin. Carols’ Christmas follows one family’s triumphs and travails as they wrestle with the question: What do they really want for Christmas this year? The joyous and uplifting story features a professional live orchestra.

Auditions on October 12 will take place at the Franklin School for the Performing Arts at 11:30 a.m. for adults, 12:15 p.m. for ages 6-7, 12:45 for ages 8-9, 1:15 for ages 10-11, 2:00 for ages 12-13, and 2:45 for ages 14-18. Auditions on October 8 will be held at FSPA-Hudson in the historic Odd Fellows Building, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. for ages 11-18, 5:30-6:30 for ages 6-10, and 6:30 for adults. An audition will be held on Monday, October 21, at 7 p.m. at 38 Main Street in Franklin for those who are unable to attend prior auditions on the 8th or 12th. Students must be 6 years of age or older on the audition date to participate. Beginners and all levels are welcome. Please prepare 16 measures of a musical theater or pop song.

Carol’s Christmas will be performed on Saturday, December 21, and Sunday, December 22, at the Thomas D. Mercer Auditorium, 224 Oak Street, in Franklin. The holiday musical debuts as part of FPAC’s 23rd season. The production will showcase a large ensemble cast of area students, community performers and professional artists.
