Audition Notice: BLACK NATIVITY
Saturday, October 24
at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts
Black Arts Think Tank is seeking actors for its musical production of BLACK NATIVITY - a testament to the timeless work of Langston Hughes, telling the story of the Nativity through a combination of African American scripture, poetry, dance and song. The production directed by Azeeza Islam, will be mounted at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts in Wilson Theatre at Vogel Hall in early December. BATT is in search of experienced females and males to act in multiple roles within an age span of 15 to 50.
The BLACK NATIVITY audition will be held on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2015, 3:00 PM, at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, Rehearsal Hall A on the 4th Floor (123 East State Street - Vogel Hall entrance). Please bring a headshot and an artistic resume. Reading from Black Nativity may be required - the script will be provided at audition. Please be prepared to sing a gospel selection. Rehearsals for BLACK NATIVITY will begin in November. For further information, email BATT@battmke.org.
