Ahoy Mateys!

The first show of the 2024-2025 season is the classic musical-comedy Anything Goes. It features music and lyrics by Cole Porter. The original book was a collaborative effort by Guy Bolton and P.G. Wodehouse with revisions by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse. It features well-known songs such as “I Get A Kick Out of You”, “It’s De-Lovely”, “You’re the Top”, “All Through the Night”, and the title song.

-Anything Goes opens Thursday, August 8, 2024, and is scheduled for a two-week run. The show may be extended if there is a demand.

-Rehearsals are scheduled to begin early to mid-June.

General Information

-Auditions begin at 7 PM each night.

-Actors audition in the order they arrive.

-You should prepare a song in your key and be ready for any movement portion of the audition that the director may require.

-Anyone being called back will be notified that night of the callback time and date. Not being called back does NOT mean that you are not being considered for a role.

-If you wish to submit a video audition, please email it to Rick Kerby at artisticdirector@manateeperformingartscenter.com. Video submissions must be received no later than Friday, May 17th.

-These are non-paid volunteer roles in all shows.

-You must be 13 years of age or older to audition for an adult role.

All auditions are held at the Manatee Performing Arts Center, 502 Third Avenue West in downtown Bradenton

Commitment

Please note that by auditioning, you are obligating yourself to a considerable rehearsal and performance process. Please be certain that you are willing and able to make this commitment.
