Bring your sheet music, an accompanist will be provided. Performers should also dress in comfortable clothing that allows them to move and dance.

Every young performer (under age 16) that auditions will be entered into a drawing to win one of two prizes. Two lucky winners will receive one of the following:

This musical follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his quest for the Holy Grail of Christmas gifts—an Official Red Ryder air rifle. Rebuffed at every turn, Ralphie plots numerous schemes to achieve his desperate desire. All the iconic scenes from the popular movie are here: Ralphie’s friend getting his tongue stuck to the flagpole; his brother, Randy, in his snowsuit; the bullies; the leg lamp award; the bunny suit; the Chinese restaurant; Christmas dinner; and many others.

A Christmas Story, The Musical will bring an exciting new dimension to those who have seen the movie and will stand on its own for those who haven’t.

A Christmas Story, The Musical will be directed by Steven Brewer, the Managing/Artistic
Director of the Old Opera House, with Musical Direction by Dr. Bobb Robinson and Choreography by Christine Galante.
