St. Petersburg City Theatre will hold auditions A Christmas Story on September 21 and 22. Written by Jean Shepherd and directed by Stephen Bell, the classic movie we all know and love comes to life on City Theatre's stage.
Children's parts will audition at 5:30pm and adults at 7:30pm on Sunday, September 21. Auditions will include cold readings from the script.
Callbacks will be held on Monday, September 22 at 7pm.
Please try to arrive early to fill out forms and have audition photos made. Resumes and head shots are not expected or required.
Cast Requirements:
- Ralph (adult Ralphie) Narrator (onstage) - age 35 & up
- Four Boys: able to play age 9 - 11
- One Boy: able to play age 7 - 9
- The Old Man (father): able to play age 40 - 50
- Mom: able to play age 35 - 45
- Miss Shields: able to play age 25 & up
- Two Girls (minor roles but visible): able to play age 9 - 11
Other Minor Walk-on Roles - All Adult, any age, any gender:
The Cowboy, The Tree Lot Owner, The Delivery Man, The Voice of a Neighbor
The possibilities exist to cast MANY other people in crowd scenes and as extras if interested.
The production dates for A Christmas Story are December 5 - 21, 2014. Fridays & Saturdays @8pm, Sundays @ 2pm.
