Hartford Stage to Audition Child Actors for

A Christmas Carol - A Ghost Story of Christmas

Hartford Stage will be holding auditions for child actors for the Tony Award-winning theatre's 16th annual production of A Christmas Carol - A Ghost Story of Christmas on Tuesday, September 17, and Wednesday, September 18, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Callbacks will be on Friday, September 20.

Auditions are for children of all ethnic backgrounds, 5-13-years-old, and children who audition may not be a member of the Actors Equity Association. Children, who wish to audition, may not turn 14 years of age until after December 28, 2013. Rehearsals beginTuesday, November 12, with performance dates from Friday, November 29, throughSaturday, December 28.

Auditions are by appointment only, and there are a limited number of appointments available. To schedule an audition, call

artistic@hartfordstage.org. Audition location and requirements will be discussed when parents or guardians call to arrange an appointment.

A Christmas Carol is Connecticut's premier holiday entertainment. Inaugurated in 1998 by former Hartford Stage Artistic Director Michael Wilson, the show has quickly grown to be enjoyed by tens of thousands of adults and children annually.
