After having its original May-June season severely shortened due to COVID-19 regulations, we've managed to get God of Carnage back on stage for three shows in mid-July! What happens when two sets of parents meet up to deal with the unruly behaviour of their children? A calm and rational debate between grown-ups about the need to teach kids how to behave properly? Or a hysterical night of name calling, tantrums and tears before bedtime? Boys will be boys, but adults are usually worse - much worse. Written by Yasmina Reza and translated from French by Christopher Hampton, in 2009 God of Carnage won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy and the Tony Award for Best Play. Directed by Kate Birch, this is a black comedy where you join two couples on a rollercoaster ride to carnage: Oliver Roberts and Rebecca Wright play Alan and Annette Raleigh, with Marissa Willson and Dion Hunt playing Veronica and Michael Novak.
