In The Wings Promotions Presents: THE LAST FIVE YEARS: IN CONCERT

In The Wings Promotions presents Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years in concert on April 28th, 2017, at Montreal's beloved and historic La Sala Rossa.

Since its inception, The Last Five Years has captured the public's attention, with its relatable characters and eclectic musical style. The musical premiered in Chicago in 2001, migrated to Off-Broadway in 2002 and again in 2013, followed by international performances and a movie version in 2014.

The Last Five Years shares the powerful and individual journeys of Cathy Hiatt, an aspiring actress, and Jamie Wellerstein, an up-and-coming novelist, as they evolve through their loving, yet rocky five-year relationship. The musical toys with time by sharing each character's journey from opposite timeframes. Jamie's process is presented chronologically, beginning with their first date and his subsequent rise to fame. Cathy's story begins with the end of their relationship, followed by a reversed sequence of emotionally charged and at times laugh-out-loud funny experiences that lead back in time to the first day she meets Jamie. Both characters briefly meet in the middle of their relationship, only to separate again into their respective timelines.

Noelle Hannibal, a seasoned performer and musical theatre aficionado, will be playing the role of Cathy. Noelle was recently seen in the role of Sheila in the musical Hair, a role she will be reviving in September 2017 at Montreal's Mainline Theatre. Jamie is played by Anton May, an honours graduate from the Dawson College Professional Theatre Program and current member of Black Theatre Workshop's Artist Mentorship Program. Anton can also be seen as Donkey in WISTA's upcoming production of Shrek The Musical.

Musical Director Ian Baird will be playing piano and conducting Scott Chancey on Violin and Thomas Beard and Andrea Stewart on Cello.
