A seldom performed work of genius, Maria Irene Fornés' The Danube follows a young couple in 1930s Budapest as they fall in love and face illness, the breakdown of the universe, and transformation into puppets among other threats. The Danube will be performed with Evaluation Season: a ten-minute play following two scavengers whose argument about whether to destroy the last spoons in existence becomes life or death.
Weird in Public Productions hopes you join us for two thrillingly apocalyptic takes on how love changes when it feels like the world is ending around us.
