Veteran Austrian conductor Hans Graf and the MPYO’s young Irish conductor Ciarán McAuley share the podium for three masterpieces. The overture is from Mozart’s enchanting last opera, The Magic Flute. Dvo?ák’s symphonic poem The Noon Witch brings to life a chilling tale from Czech folklore. The crowning touch to this programme is Brahms magnificent First Symphony, one of the finest Firsts ever composed.
