On November 9th, Penobscot Theatre Company's Education Department and the Bangor Ballet will collaborate to facilitate a workshop and performance event based on the work of William Shakespeare.

Using an interdisciplinary approach, participants will have the opportunity to investigate "A Midsummer Night's Dream" as they are interpreted through the mediums of theater and dance. The community is invited to attend a one hour workshop with long time Shakespeare in the Schools teaching artists Jasmine Ireland and Benjamin Layman to explore language, movement, interpretation, and style in the context of Shakespearean performance. This will then be followed by a performance by the teaching artists as well as Bangor Ballet students presenting "Titania's Dream." PTC Director of Education Jasmine Ireland and Bangor Ballet Board President Christine Mihan will facilitate an audience question and answer session.

Registration is available for the entire event or for the performance only. Tickets for this event will go on sale October 8 and can be reserved by calling Penobscot Theatre Company at (207)942-3333 or visiting the website at penobscottheatre.org.
