The Gheens Great Expectations concert is part of The Kentucky Center's Gheens Great Expectations Program. This program brings some of the world's finest young classical musicians to Louisville for performances and residencies that focus on engaging and inspiring youth. The program aims to help the community's youth encounter transformative experiences through the arts.

Versatile violinist Melissa White has collaborated with distinguished artists such as Itzhak Perlman, Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Bruno Mars. Ms. White is a founding member of the esteemed Harlem Quartet.

Deanna Tham is the newly appointed Music Director of the Louisville Youth Orchestra, having previously served as Music Director of the Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and conductor for the Boise Philharmonic, Ballet Idaho and Opera Idaho. Tham's work with top musicians and educators from around the world has been featured on National Public Radio.

The show takes place on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017. Tickets are free and the event is open to the public.
