It’s 1963, at Plains University in Iowa. Kappa Lambda Nu is a historically Black sorority. The sisters are referred to as The Daughters of the Kush. Kathy is the sorority’s lone white, Jewish pledge. She has been raised by Black adoptive parents and is eager to pledge her mother’s sorority. When Kathy meets with a violent mishap, the Daughters suddenly find themselves under investigation.The Daughters of the Kush is an unusual look at the social lives of young Black collegiate women at a pivotal moment in American history.

Ages: Age 14 to Adult.
