Breakdown
Seeking:
Marie Antoinette:
A cat. Seeking Female to play 20s to early 30s. Comfortable with physical comedy and skilled with language. Will not necessarily be portrayed as a literal cat. She has incredible disdain for all around her but can also be very playful, and loves to torture and hate (but not really) the dog.
Gabby:
An actress small in stature who can believably play an 11 year-old girl. She is very defiant and artistic but extremely quiet. She is intelligent and sensitive beyond her years. She is caught in a family that is falling apart and is determined to fix it. She is able to express much without saying much. But she can bring out the colors when necessary. Needs a subtle comic sensibility.
Lilly:
Late 30s to early fifties. She is overly bubbly and enthusiastic, but can cut to the quick and take a very serious stand when necessary. A woman who is passionate about being head of a school board, director of the community center and her church. An actress who has a strong comedic sense, can turn on a dime, is able to be big, but also very grounded and real.
Brian:
40s to 50s, married and father of two, Gabby, 11, and Tommy 16. Funny, kind, empathic, warm - but with a grounded sense of strength and integrity. Since being let go from his firm a year and a half ago, and not having found a position, he has been trying to make the best of a bad situation. He needs to be a guy you believe was excellent at what he did, loves his family immensely, and enjoys a good time – even though he hasn't had one in a while. By the end of the play he comes to establish himself as a leader and strength in his own family once again.
