PETER PAN

PETER PAN: Female legally over 18. Must have a youthful presence. Peter Pan is childhood and boyishness personified. Must be small in stature, athletic, not afraid of heights, and an excellent actor and singer who moves very well.

MRS. DARLING / GROWN-UP WENDY / MERMAID: Soprano. Mid 30’s – Early 40’s. MRS. DARLING: The family matriarch. Mrs. Darling’s pleasant strength and demeanor allows her to glide about gently and swiftly from task to task with motherly precision. Must be an excellent actor and singer.

WENDY DARLING: High Alto. Must play a believable young teenager. The eldest Darling child who is compassionate and protective, who easily assumes her maternal role in Neverland. Wendy has a true sense of wonder and innocence that makes the light in her eyes shine. Must be an excellent actor who moves well.

JOHN DARLING: Male actor to play 10-13 year old male No taller than 5'2. A young man on the verge of adolescence. Must move well and not be afraid of heights.

MICHAEL DARLING: Male actor to play 7-9 year old male No taller than 4'8. The youngest Darling child. Michael is sweetly innocent and lovingly huggable. He has a natural charm and endures spurts of energy. Must move well and not be afraid of heights.

MR. DARLING / CAPTAIN HOOK: High Baritone. 40’s. MR. DARLING: The children’s grouchy and distant father. Although Mr. Darling runs a tight ship, it is evident that he loves his children, even if he seems rather distracted and self-important. CAPTAIN HOOK: The one-handed captain of the Jolly Roger. Hook is relentless and restless in his pursuit of Peter Pan. He is a larger than life villain, but he is also short-fused and ridiculous. Must be an excellent singer and actor/comedian who moves well.

Tootles is afraid he has disappointed Peter when he shoots down Wendy. JANE: Wendy’s daughter who has heard of Peter Pan while growing up and longs to fly to Neverland like her mother once did. Must move very well; acro/tumbling is a plus.

SMEE: Tenor. Mid 30’s – 40’s. Captain Hook’s eccentric sidekick. Although Smee is naturally quirky and not “all there”, none of his peculiarities are put-on or schticky. Must be physically small enough for Hook to push around, and be comfortable with physical comedy. Must move well.

THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME

QUASIMODO - 20s, deformed and reclusive. Longs to see the outside world, but staunchly loyal to his master, Frollo. Possesses great vulnerability, but covers a deep well of pain and rage.
