Breakdown

SYNOPSIS:
The Sonic Life of a Giant Tortoise is a humorous, heart-breaking and sometimes surreal examination of contemporary couples living in a compromised economy and searching for fulfillment. Set in Tokyo it looks at seemingly ordinary life in the office, on the train, arguing with a boyfriend etc. , but beneath the surface of steady relationships and jobs lie vast doubts and instabilities. This play is a mumblecore-style piece that shows men and women struggling to find a foothold in their adult personal lives and looks at the extraordinary underneath the everyday.
