*The Seedling Project is an original play inspired by the true stories of women and men as they navigate the choices surrounding unplanned pregnancy. We'll be presenting an evening of scenes and monologues with some ensemble pieces. Part of the proceeds will be donated to Planned Parenthood. Seeking AEA Female and Male Actors for the following:
RUBY/LAUREN/CASEY
Female. All characters are young, modern, women of the world, 20s-30s, any ethnicity. May double as various other characters.
AISHA
Female 20s/30s, African American. Young, modern, woman of the world. Close to her father (TYRONE). Will also double as various other characters.
CHERYL/JOAN
CHERYL: Female, Late 40s/early 50s, any ethnicity. A doting mother/housewife. Also plays JOAN: late 40s/early 50s, any ethnicity. A seasoned actress playing Blanche in 'Streetcar. May double as various other characters.
GERTRUDE/WOMAN 1
GERTRUDE: Female, age 70s+, any ethnicity. The family matriarch, who is largely ignored at family dinners due to her age. Will also double as WOMAN 1: A strong woman affected by choices made in her past.
TYRONE/SETH
TYRONE: Male, 50s, African-American. Is a loving father, close to his daughter, AISHA. Will also double as SETH.
SEAN/JAMIE
SEAN: Male, 20s/30s, any ethnicity. A masculine guy, a loyal friend, modern dude. Also plays JAMIE: Male, 20s/30s, any ethnicity. A good, loyal partner to his girlfriend CASEY, recently married.
DAN
Male, 20s/30s, any ethnicity. Dan is a masculine guy, a loyal friend, a little afraid of commitment.
