Breakdown

From the writing team of David Rossmer and Dan Lipton (Rated P for Parenthood, Notes to MariAnne) comes the world premiere of a romantic comedy musical, The Blonde Streak. When Walter, a hopelessly romantic chef, gets jilted on his wedding day, he takes off in the matrimonial limo with his best friend and his favorite ex to try to figure out why. Channeling contemporary off-beat comedies, the Apatow-esque The Blonde Streak is the roadtrip of a mid-lifetime for these three 30-somethings, forced to deal with the endless and ageless struggle of growing up.

SEEKING the following role only:

JANSON:
Asian American, mid to late thirties, strong baritone. Janson is the best friend of Walter. He's going through a mid'ish life crisis but not entirely aware of it--used to write jokes for comedians but now is a real estate agent trying to become more of an adult (perhaps too soon). Uptight but underneath has the ability to loosen up given the right circumstances.
