Johnny
70’s. Male. A military background. Has power and virility though his life has been plagued by unhappiness and grief. Opinionated and sometimes irascible. Still vulnerable.

Violet
Late 30’s, very early 40’s. Female. She appears delicate but when the survival of her family is concerned, she clearly has a backbone. A gentle force that keeps the household running. Midwestern and wholesome.

Beauty
18+ actor to play 16. Appears delicate like her mother and willful like her father. She is a survivor. Marches to the beat of her own drum. Observant, soulful, but still youthful in her energy.

Samuel
Late 30’s to mid 40’s. Male. A glass half full kind of guy. Optimistic, determined to make the best of things, wry, energetic, likeable and trustworthy.

Daniel
Late 30’s, early 40’s. Male. A soulful and lost father and husband who masks his despair with a charming veneer. Covers his darkness with seeming brightness and good spirits. A deep thinker. Willful.
