SCAPINO by Frank Dunlop and Jim Dale. Dir: Maurice J. Moran. 1st reh: 6/7. Runs 6/24-7/10.
Sylvestro:
Man, 30s or 40s. Ottavio's guardian.
Ottavio:
20s (could look younger).Young man in love.
Scapino:
Man, late 20s-40s. Leandro's guardian. Actor should be physically adept. May need to play guitar.
Giacinta:
Ottavio's love, “a beautiful young girl … hair falling about her shoulders”.
Argante:
40s-60s. Ottavio's father. Comically angered.
Geronte:
40s-60s. Leandro's father. Similar to Argante. Gets beaten while hiding in a sack.
Leandro:
20s (could look younger). Son of Geronte. In love with Zerbinetta.
Zerbinetta:
20s (could look younger). “A gypsy”.
Nurse:
In the caring-for-child sense, not medical. Cares for Zerbinetta.
Carlo:
“A bum”.
Waiters and Waitresses:
Four singing servers at the seaside restaurant
