BREAKDOWN

SEEKING ADULTS to play the following Ensemble roles and cover the following Principal roles:

DEWEY FINN- Late 20s-Mid 30’s. An original. Great comic chops, High rock tenor, MUST have some guitar skills or be ready to learn. PRINCIPAL

ROSALIE MULLINS- Late 20s-Mid 30s. A rock chick imprisoned in the body and life of a stern and correct headmistress. Soprano with a strong belt. PRINCIPAL

NED SCHNEEBLY- Late 20s-Mid 30’s. Ned was once as keen on rock as Dewey, but failure has beaten him down. He clings to his girlfriend, Patty, as the one sure thing in a sea of regrets. Rock voice. PRINCIPAL

PATTY- Late 20s-Mid 30s. Patty is a hard woman who knows what she wants, and she doesn’t want Dewey. Not in her life. Not in Ned’s life. Her dislike of Dewey is the strongest thing about her. Strong belt voice. PRINCIPAL

THEO – 20s-30s – Lead singer of Dewey’s band “No Vacancy” – H-O-T! Strong rock voice; Also plays other roles in Ensemble; ENSEMBLE

MR. SPENCER - 20s-30s – one of Tomika’s Dads & also plays “Doug” - a member of Dewey’s rock band NO VACANCY” among other Ensemble roles. ENSEMBLE

MR. HAMILTON – 20s-30s – Father of “Freddy” – angry, working class Dad; Also plays other Ensemble roles – teacher, band member, cop. ENSEMBLE

MR. MOONEYHAM – 30s-40s – Zack’s dad – high powered executive who has no patience or time for his son. Also plays ‘Snake’ - Member of Dewey’s rock band NO VACANCY & others. ENSEMBLE

MR. WILLIAMS – 30s-40s – one of Tomika’s Dads; also plays a teacher at Horace Green, et al. ENSEMBLE

MRS. HATHAWAY – 30s-40s – Summer’s Mom – very elegant and VERY afraid of her daughter. Also plays a teacher at Horace Green, et al. ENSEMBLE

JEFF SANDERSON – 30s-40s – Owner of club where Battle of the Bands takes place – VERY HIP. Also plays Mr. Sanford – ex –jock, parent of ‘Billy’ – NOT happy with the fact that Billy seems to have interests other than sports… and Gabe – one of the teachers at Horace Green – among others. ENSEMBLE

GYM TEACHER & SECURITY GUARD – 20s-30s; Also plays other Ensemble roles. ENSEMBLE

KATIE’s MOM - 20s-40s; Also plays other Ensemble roles. ENSEMBLE
