Appointments will be scheduled for Wednesday’s audition first. If all of the appointment slots have not been filled, the second day of auditions may be cancelled per Rule 5(E)(3) of the LORT Agreement.

Prepare one or two short monologues (three minutes total).

Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

THE MORINI STRAD

Performance Dates: September 27- October 23, 2011

Inspired by a true story that rocked the classical music world, concert violinist Erica Morini hires an unassuming violin-maker to restore her legendary Stradivarius. Though the aging diva proves to be a prickly client, the two develop an unexpected friendship over the priceless instrument in this imaginative new drama about the sacrifices one makes for artistry.

GOD OF CARNAGE

After their sons get into a playground fight, two couples plan a polite meeting to resolve the matter. Their cordial conversation, however, soon devolves into petty squabbling and chaos as the rum flows and the gloves come off. Charged with savagely funny dialogue, this Tony award-winning comedy leaves the badly-behaved parents with more than their liberal principals in tatters.

Portland Stage is creating an enchanting new Main Stage holiday production of The Snow Queen, the beloved fairy tale of devotion, bravery and the triumph of love. When Gerda’s best friend Kai is bewitched and imprisoned by the mysterious Snow Queen, the young girl embarks on a journey to the land of winter to save him. With magical characters from crows to rosebushes to reindeer, Andersen’s story has warmed the hearts of children and adults around the world for almost 200 years.

The 1930s atmosphere, and trademark narrative style of Los Angeles’s most famous private detective come to life in this world premiere adaptation of two of Chandler’s Philip Marlowe short stories. From seedy side streets to elegant Hollywood mansions, Marlowe must stay focused on solving the case through run-ins with sinister thugs,high rollers, crooked cops, and femme-fatales in this quintessential jazz-age thriller

Both learn to love the woman they are exploiting even as their actions encourage the Revolution that will shatter all three of their lives.
