Breakdown
Seeking the following roles:
Mr. Darling/Captain Hook:
To play 35 - 50. Any race/ethnicity. Sings; fights. Mr. Darling is a bit fussy and blustery and always needs the help of his calm and steadfast mate, Mrs. Darling. He loves his family and wants to be a good provider for them; a diligent employee who works hard. Can seem a bit gruff but has a heart of gold under the surface. Captain Hook: Flamboyant, dangerous, a precursor of Captain Jack Sparrow. Has an iron right hand which he uses to threaten his Pirate crew. Treats his crew as dogs. Range: C3 - F#4
Mrs. Darling:
To play 35 – 45. Any race/ethnicity. Sings. The perfect mother; the one we all wish we had. Patient, devoted, concerned, graceful, great warmth, huge heart, adored by her children. Inventive and imaginative. Strict when necessary, but never in a way that would make her children doubt they were loved. Range: D4 - C5
Smee:
To play 30 – 50. Any race/ethnicity. Sings; needs to move well/be agile. One of the Pirates, and Hook's right (or left-) hand yes man. Obsequious, obedient, approaching something of a sycophant in his deference to his Captain. Somewhat soft of heart. A bit dense; somewhat lacking in comprehension, but oddly likeable. Range: D3 - F#4
