The Shakespeare Theatre Company specializes in classic plays. The theatre is always seeking new classical actors of all age ranges and types to add to its files.
The Shakespeare Theatre Company is a strong proponent of Non-Traditional Casting and actively encourages actors of color, seniors, women and performers with disabilities to attend its auditions.
PREPARATION
Prepare one (1) Contemporary monologue of your choice, not to exceed 3 minutes total. Bring a headshot and resume stapled together

Tariq / Tim - mid-late 40s; Noura's husband. An internist and former surgeon from Baghdad; now an Iraqi immigrant in America. Proud, proper and put-together; extremely committed to his family. Tries very hard to make his family American.
Rashid - mid-late 40s; Noura's childhood neighbour from Mosul. An OBGYN. Now also an Iraqi immigrant in America. Caring, loving, kind; cares very deeply for Noura. Noura's confidant and best friend.
Yazen / Alex - 9 years old; Noura and Tariq's son. Curious, energetic, sharp; wise beyond his years.
