Must have extensive previous stage management experience, excellent organizational skills, experience calling large musicals, be able to lift 50lbs, possess strong people skills and approach the workplace with a collaborative outlook. The work environment is positive, challenging, and the company upholds high artistic standards. Housing is excellent and all employees are provided their own bedroom. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing the deck, assigning deck run crew tracks, overseeing prop tracking, help ensure a safe/clean environment throughout rehearsals and performances, notation of blocking and choreography, scheduling fittings around the rehearsal schedule based on the COST contract, etc.

The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival has three stages running during the summer – all located in the town of Auburn, NY – set in the picturesque Finger Lakes wine region of Central New York. Four hours from NYC and situated between Syracuse, Rochester and Ithaca, the The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival is the largest producing musical theatre organization outside of New York City.
Our mainstage, The Merry Go Round Playhouse, presents large-scale Broadway spectacles with high caliber talent from Broadway and across the country (2015 Season: West Side Story, The Light In The Piazza, Saturday Night Fever, Sweeney Todd, The Calamari Sisters: My Big Fat Italian Wedding). In downtown Auburn, we produce smaller musicals, plays and comedies (2015: Late Night Catechism). Our third venue, Theatre Mack, in a cabaret-style environment, presents a new musical in development each week, encouraging audience feedback and discourse in our new works series, “The Pitch.” We have been in existence for over thirty years, provide top-notch entertainment to over 65,000 patrons each season, are routinely recognized by industry press and maintain a high regard in the professional theatre community for our artistry and execution.
