Seeking
Equity and Non-Equity actor/singer/movers and actor/singer/dancers for various roles and ensemble parts.

Note: All cast members must be good singers, movers and dancers

see breakdown.

Preparation
Prepare two contrasting 16-bar selections from or in the style of the shows. Bring sheet music in the correct key; accompanist is provided.

Please bring a recent picture & resume, stapled back-to-back

Artistic Director attending all CT Auditions; Director attending most CT & all NYC auditions

20s. Gb2 – G5 Soprano Belt: The quintessential Valley Girl who follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School and realizes that she has more than just a pretty face and a bubbly personality. A true triple threat with a soprano belt.

Emmet Forrest
20s. B2 – A4 Tenor: A smart and sensitive law student who takes Elle under his wing. A strong singer and actor with good comic timing.

Margot, Serena, Pilar
20s. G#3 – F5 Soprano Belt: Elle's sorority sisters. Margot, Serena, and Pilar are Elle's entourage who follow her through the story acting as chorus. Strong singers and dancers with good comic timing and youthful energy.

Paulette Buonofuonte
30s- mid 40s. A3 – A5 Soprano Belt: Owner of Hair Affair, a local salon, who is friends with Elle and longs to find a man for herself. Brash and funny, accent a plus, a strong singer with a soprano belt.

Professor Callahan
40s- mid 50s. A2 – F#4 Baritone: A pompous and manipulative law professor at Harvard. A shark in the courtroom who will win at any.

Warner Huntington III
20s. Eb3 – Ab4 Tenor: Attractive, but pompous. Charm and charisma. Breaks Elle's heart. Will do whatever it takes to achieve dream of becoming a senator.

Vivienne Kensington
20s. A3 – F5 HUGE Soprano Belt: Overachieving, smart and savvy law student. Intellectually driven, yet feels threatened by Elle's presence Harvard.

Enid Hoops
20s. G3 – G5 Soprano Belt: Feminist law student at Harvard.

Kyle B. O'Boyle
late 20s to mid 30s. Attractive, physically fit, UPS delivery man. Paulette's dream man. May double with another role. No but featured in the River Dance number.

Brooke Wyndham
late 20s– mid 30s. A3 – G5 Alto or Soprano: An exercise video star and former sorority girl. Needs a high level of aerobic stamina while singing.

Mid 20s – mid 30s. Brooke Wyndham's jealous step-daughter. Featured in the courtroom as a witness. Character actress double with another role.

20s. Harvard law student whose father is next in line to be the Speaker of the House.

40s – mid 50s. Dad-D3 – E#4 Baritone, Mom-C4 – E5 Alto: High society socialite and rich golfer respectively.

Any age. Featured characters in the courtroom trial of Brooke Wyndham.

Directions to CT Auditions from NYC, provided by the Theatre:
Train: (60-70 minutes from Grand Central Station NYC) Metro North to Stamford CT. Change (if necessary) for New Canaan. Theatre auditon/rehearsal studios across street from train station 1 block (opposite side of tracks). Auto: (1 hour NYC): New England Thruway (95) north to exit 15, Rt. 7 extension, take exit 3 Merritt Parkway South to exit 37. Left off exit to center of New Canaan, left on Elm St. 1 block left at light. First right turn at light. Studios toward end of block on left – 70 Pine Street. Ample parking on street or in building lot. Note: Do not go to Waveny Park location.
