SEEKING

Two actors for the following roles:

INTIMATE APPAREL: set in Lower Manhattan in 1905

MAYME:
30’s, African- American, strikingly beautiful, must play the piano, warm, intelligent, angry, independent, Southern accent (Memphis)

GEORGE:
30s, African-Caribbean, Barbadian immigrant, muscular, handsome, charming, unfaithful

PREPARATION

Please prepare a short monologue from 'Intimate Apparel' by Lynn Nottage or a monologue from any modern play for presentation. Bring a picture and resume, stapled together. Those auditioning for Mayme may be asked to play the piano.
