Preparation

Singers

Prepare 16/32 bars of song a la Cole Porter. Singers may be asked to dance.

Dancers

Arrive warmed up and with appropriate shoes/heels. Dancers also prepare 16/32 bars if

needed to sing.

All - Please bring a picture and resume stapled together. An accompanist will be

provided.

Breakdown

CASTING NOTE:
Offers have been made for all ensemble parts. However, should all offers be accepted, those auditioning will be considered for possible replacements and understudies. Theatre will also be considering those attending these ECCs for the lead roles of TRACY LORD and DEXTER HAVEN


TRACY LORD
LEAD - 25-35 female. Strong Mezzo-Soprano mix. Sophisticated and a beautiful young woman who has the undeniable ability to carry a show - made popular in the film played by Grace Kelly. Described as a "Bryn Mawr girl". Must also dance well.

DEXTER HAVEN
LEAD - 35-40 male. Classical Bari-Tenor to a solid high G. A handsome man between 5'11"-6'1" made popular in the film by Bing Crosby.

ENSEMBLE
Male and female - Strong classical voices who make up a chorus of maids and butlers.
