Equity actors who sing, men and women, for the 2014 Main Stage season.

Preparation
Prepare to sing two short numbers: an up-tempo song and a ballad. Music must be legible and in the proper key (No lead sheets please). An accompanist will be provided..

Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

50s male - baseball fanatic, a bit of a dreamer, a boy at heart, fiery and terribly sympathetic.

MEG BOYD
50s female - lovely housewife, smart and empathetic and very much in love

MR. APPLEGATE
male - age up for grabs - charming, sexy, very intelligent and suave. james mason meets gene kelly meets will ferrell.

JOE HARDY
20s male - strong, athletic american, ready for anything.

LOLA
20s female - devious and sexy, magnetic and dangerous, unavoidable and hilarious

GLORIA THORPE
20s female- small and spunky, sassy and ambitious, tenacious and vicious

VAN BUREN
50s/60s male - directly out of history he oozes chewing tobacco and eye black. baseball is in his blood and bones. he's your dad and your brother and your hero.

JIM HARDY:
(early-mid 30’s) A songwriter and a dreamer, Jim is ready to retire from show business and start a new, simpler life on a farm in Connecticut Earnest, kind hearted and socially awkward, Seeking excellent comic actor/singer, lyric baritone, handsome and sincere. Must have a great sense of humor – and grow stronger as the story progresses

TED HANOVER:
(early-mid 30’s) A dancer and a ladies man, Ted is Jim’s best friend and performing partner, along with Lila. A bit of an opportunist, Ted is ever ready for his close up. Suave, good looking and slick, Ted is everyone’s best friend, always ready with a quip and always the life of the party – until he blacks out. Seeking excellent comic actor/dancer/singer – lyric baritone.

LINDA MASON:
(early 30’s) At first, she is emotionally distant and protected, unwilling to fall prey to Jim’s considerable charms. But she is soon won over by his kindness, cheekiness, and talent – and the two fall in love. A lovely charming actress, string dancer/singer – belt and high mix

LILA DIXON:
(early 30’s) A showgirl at heart, Lila is Jim’s mismatched fiancé, Sexy and slinky and in love with the spotlight, nShe is addicted to the bright lights – and continues as Jim’s best friend’s dance partner – until she finds a better offer. Seeking excellent comic actor/singer/dancer – high belt.

LOUISE:
(30’s - 40’s) The local fix it “man,” Louise is a tough cookie with a sharp Eve Arden tongue and a jazzy singing voice to boot. When Jim’s dream house starts to fall apart, he calls Louise to come put it back together. A sassy, strong woman who looks good with a tool belt. Excellent comic actor, strong jazzy belt voice, good mover
