Breakdown

For each production, there are two-and-a-half weeks for rehearsals, which begin on the Monday two weeks before the opening week. Performance schedule is 4 shows a week: Wednesday-Saturday, all in the evenings, except there is no show on Saturday, July 4, but a show on Sunday, July 5, and no show on Wednesday, October 7, but a show on Sunday, October 11.

MR. LINCOLN
by Herbert Mitgang
runs from June 17-July 25

This is a one-person show.

Lincoln's life passes before him when John Wilkes Booth enters the President's box at Ford's Theatre in 1865.

Role CAST. 45-60. Actor should have some resemblance to the President. Currently the role is cast, but actors may audition in case there is a need for a replacement.

HUCKLEBERRY FINN
based on the Mark Twain classic, adapted by James Rana
runs from July 29-Sept. 5

This is an ensemble piece in which actors should have movement and musical abilities, including singing, playing guitar, banjo, or violin.

The roles of HUCK and JIM are cast, but actors may audition in case there is a need for replacements.

HUCK
CAST. A young man running away from an abusive father, age range 14-16

JIM:
CAST. African-American, a run-away slave, age range 25-35


ACTOR 1:
Plays Judge Thatcher, Duke, and other roles, age range 35-50

ACTOR 2:
Plays Widow Douglas, Mrs. Loftus, and other roles, age range 35-50

ACTOR 3:
Portrays Pap Finn, King, and other roles, age range 35-50;

plays Mrs. Watson and other roles, age range 30-40.

A 1929 screwball comedy about a young woman from the South who meets an opera singer in a Manhattan speakeasy run by Italians.

looking for a wife he thinks he can dominate, age range 20-30

COUNT DI RUVO:
Italian, well-known opera singer who loves the ladies, age range 30-40

JUDGE DEMPSEY:
kind man who lives above the speakeasy, age range 45-60

TOMASO ANTIOVI:
owns the speakeasy in NYC where the play takes place, enjoys making his guests feel at home, age range 40-60; GIOVANNI: works for Tomaso, age range 30-40

MARIO:
works for Tomaso, age range 30-40; and PATROLMAN MULLIGAN: Irish, age range 20-50.
