Breakdown

SEEKING:

LENA:
Late 50s- Early 60s. Female, African American. Tray’s paternal grandmother. Works two jobs and has lived in this neighborhood her whole life and is fiercely protective of her family. Strong-willed, old school disciplinarian who holds a grudge. Great sense of humor.

TRAY:
18, Male, African American. An easy-going high school grad headed to college, filled with optimism despite his devastating past. Huge heart with a wicked sense of humor. An amateur boxer with mad jump roping skills.

MERRELL:
Mid- Late 30s. Female. Korean American. Devine’s mother, a recovering addict who is attempting to rebuild her life. Dry sense of humor.
