Seeking
Singer/Dancer/Actors of all ethnicities for a world premiere muscial adaptation of the novel Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. Applicants should be very strong singers with pop/rock/contemporary Broadway repertoire and skills as well as adept actors with strong emotional range. Strong dance/movement also required.

MAIN CHARACTERS

JOHN
Male, 20's, handsome, strong, idealistic, naive. He has exceptionally strong character, but a very childlike understanding of right and wrong. Very strong pop singer – high baritone/tenor rock & roll voice.

DIRECTOR
Male, 30's/40's, strong, handsome, powerful, charismatic. As the leader of the World State, he's the most powerful man around, and he loves every minute of it. Strong, powerful singer – baritone.

BERNARD
Male, 20's, short, neurotic, funny. He is incredibly smart, but is uncomfortable in his own skin. He wants more than anything for people to respect him. Strong singer, baritone.

LENINA
Female, 20's/30's, sexy, gorgeous, smart. She often questions the soundness of their society, which is constantly at odds with her sexual conditioning. Very strong pop & rock and roll singer – high belter.

LINDA
Female, 40's/50's, looks older by contrast. Born in the World State then lost on a savage reservation, she is unable to reconcile the two worlds, and has lost her mind. Strong singer, alto/B’way belt.

ENSEMBLE
In the World State, babies are engineered and grown in test tubes. As such, they are all perfect specimens; tall, beautiful, sexy, strong. They are given anti-aging hormones, so they all appear to be in their 20's and 30's, even when they are decades older.

Ensemble roles include various characters in the World State, as well as savages and lower caste members. All are strong pop singers, covering all ranges and must be very strong dancers.
