Pedro, male, 40’s, Latino, construction worker.

Miles, male, 30’s, Not Latino, taking yoga classes.

THE RIPPLE, THE WAVE THAT CARRIED ME HOME

Janice – the daughter, female, mid 30s. Black.

Helen – the mother, female, 30-49. Black.

Gayle – the aunt, female, 30-39. Black.

Edwin – the father, male, 30-49. Black.

AMERICAN FAST

Khady— A 21-year-old Middle Eastern American woman. A forward on her school’s Division 1 basketball team.

Gabe — A 20-year-old Black man. A point guard on his school’s Division 1 basketball team.

Coach — A Black woman in her 40s. The Coach of the women’s basketball team and a former player herself.

Suzan — A Middle Eastern woman in her late 40s. Khady’s mother. She was born in Egypt, so she speaks with an accent. She is devoutly Muslim but does not wear a headscarf.

TRUE STORY

Hal Walker (Male, 39, any ethnicity). A mystery writer. Unshaven and skinny, like he’s been subsisting for months on whiskey and nightmares.

Brett Martin (Male, female, or or Non-Binary, 40-60, any ethnicity) An editor for a mid-sized publishing company. Very comfortable in the chair.

Donnie Lawrence (Male, 37, any ethnicity) Real estate agent. You can tell right off he makes his living selling something.

Miriam Lawrence (Female, 15, any ethnicity) Donnie Lawrence’s daughter. Too young and too old at the same time.

PYGMALION, A TALL TALE

TRACK 1/PYGMALION: Any gender, any age, any ethnicity. An artist.

TRACK 2/YORK: Any gender, any age, Black. A traveler.

TRACK 3/THE FATES/THE MUSES: Any gender, any age, nonwhite. A storyteller.

TRACK 4/APHRODITE/THE FATES: Any gender, any age, nonwhite. A host.

TRACK 5/THE FATES/THE MUSES: Any gender, any age, nonwhite. A storyteller.

Requirement for proof of vaccination/negative test.

Everyone entering the audition venue (i.e., venue employees, Equity members, non-members, casting personnel, creatives, producers, musicians, COVID Safety Managers, etc.) will be required to undergo a symptom check and provide one of the following prior to entry into the venue:

- Proof of full vaccination. “Fully vaccinated,” as defined by the CDC, is more than 14 calendar days following receipt of a final dose of an FDA or World Health Organization authorized or approved vaccine.

Two-ply cloth face masks, surgical masks, singer’s masks and respirators (N95, KN95 or KF94) will be allowed for face coverings. Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas are not acceptable face coverings. Everyone in the holding room and audition room will always wear a face covering as described above, except for the actor when they are actively auditioning. The time spent unmasked should be as minimal as possible. Face coverings must be worn correctly (covering the nose and mouth). If the risk level for MULTNOMAH County is trending upwards and may rise to High (Red) we will contact members with appointments at least 24 hours before the first audition appointment time to let them know there is a chance that the auditions may need to be postponed or cancelled. All members with appointments will be notified if the auditions must be postponed or cancelled.

We encourage members to prepare for their audition at home, to the extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and dressing rooms. Additional information required in notice:

Holding/Audition room information:

The audition room is 4000 square feet and can accommodate no more than 40 individuals at a time.

The holding room is 1250 square feet and can accommodate no more than 34 individuals at a time.
