KATE NEWTON
Age: 40's
Tom's wife Kate is a homemaker, an amateur actress and a swell human being. She is insightful and honest, and not at all shy. A person you want on your team.
NEWT, SM, JOHN MURRA
Age: Early 20's
Newt is a reluctant soldier and would be author or poet, perhaps. John Murra is an overly mature very, very young man. Actor needs to be smart, emotionally available, and young.
CATHRINE, HELENE SHAW, PAULA NEWTON
Age: 20's
Catherine is a charming young lady of her era. Helene Shaw utterly lovely and entirely unfulfilled-- all passion on the inside, cool reserve on the outside. Paula is a young girl.
HARRY NASH, ROY CROCKER
Age: 20's or 30's
Harry is shy, awkward and insecure-- also, a truly brilliant actor. Roy is just a plumber.
VERNE MILLER, GEORGE MURRA

Verne feels sure he has untapped talent. He is wrong. George is a smart, talented guy, a good person, caught up in extraordinary and impossible circumstances.

Doris is smart as a whip, opinionated, bossy, fabulous. A big personality. Gloria Hilton is similar, but instead of a small town librarian, she is one of the most famous actresses ever.
