Breakdown

MR. ZERO -- (mid 40s. male) Thin, sallow, under-sized, and partially bald. Everyman character, but stuck in a thankless job and unhappy marriage. Has worked as an accountant at the same department store for twenty-five years. Finds out that he is being fired and replaced by an adding machine at his job on the same day that he planned to ask for a raise. Repressed and predictable individual up to a point. Play centers around Mr. Zero.

LIEUTENANT CHARLES -- (middle-aged) Inclined to corpulence and has an air of world-weariness. Authoritative. Should have excellent comedic timing. Perhaps a Will Ferrell type.


MRS. ZERO- (Mid 40s female). Nagging and aggressive wirfe who is still loving (CAST)

DAISY - (20s-40s female). Mr. Zero's love interest. She works as an accountant and is sweet and loving as well as equipped with a backbone (CAST)

JUDY- (20s-30s female)-The town exhibitionist and sex-symbol (CAST)

SHEDLU - (30s-40s. Male). An engimatic character perminately living in Elysian Fields. (CAST)

BOSS - (30s-40s. Male). Head of corporate company and committed to efficiency. (CAST).

POLICEMAN/YOUNG MAN - (20s-30s. Young and seeking justice. (CAST).
