SYNOPSIS:
FAMILY, LOVE, A WALL BETWEEN. BERLIN DIVIDED.
An original rock musical about a 30 year love story set against the backdrop of the Berlin Wall. With music by Graham Russell of Air Supply, this epic story examines three generations of family ties, brotherhood, love, and marriage. What is the price of liberty, and will the Wall divide or unite?

ACTORS OF ALL ETHNICITIES STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND
HANS OSTERMANN: The oldest brother. Nearly 34 when the story begins. He is a border patrol (Grenzpolizei) Captain, living in the East Sector of Berlin. Strictly adheres to the law, and encourages his brothers to do the same. High Baritone.
KURT OSTERMANN: Middle brother. 23 years old. He joins the Border Patrol but ultimately resigns to become an activist against the wall. A romantic. He lives with his brothers and Tante in the East. High Baritone.
MICKEY OSTERMANN: The youngest brother. 21 years old. The lead singer of his rock and roll band The Angels, in a club called The Bunker. The club is in the western sector of Berlin. Actor may play MICKEY JR in the second act: Mickey’s son who has never known life without the Berlin Wall and the division of the city. 27 years old at the end of the piece. Rock Tenor.
TANTE' ANNA OSTERMANN : 50 years old in 1961. She is the brothers' Aunt who raised them during the war and beyond. She is a widow and lives with the brothers in East Berlin. Warm and maternal, with a great sense of humor. Alto or Mezzo.
ESTHER GERHARDT: 20s. She works at “The Bunker as a waitress where she meets Kurt and shortly falls in love. Living in the Western Sector of Berlin. Mezzo/belter.
SUZANNE ADLER: 19, Esther’s friend, who also works in The Bunker and is Mickey’s fiancé. They marry in the first act. Mezzo/belter.
