Preparation
To be considered for JANIS JOPLIN, please prepare a song in the JANIS JOPLIN repertoire (CRY BABY, PIECE OF MY HEART, STAY WITH ME) in its original key. Bring sheet music, an accompanist will be provided.
Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together.

FUTURE JANIS JOPLINS / JANIS JOPLIN ALTERNATE: (late 20s to late 30s) A Force of nature, a genuine spirit, ''a white chick singin’ the blues,'' an original. The rock and roll legend. An old soul. Great, authentic rock & roll/blues voice with incredible range and chords of steel. Must be a natural actress, highly charismatic with a superb sense of humor and irony and something else – genuine star quality. This actress should be able to channel the spirit of this rock legend, without impersonation. THE JANIS ALTERNATE WILL PLAY 2 SHOWS PER WEEK.
