Colorado Ballet will present a collection of three master ballet works to live music by the Colorado Ballet Orchestra in Ballet MasterWorks, which includes Firebird, based on the Russian folklore tale of the Firebird, a magical creature who assists a prince in rescuing a maiden from an evil sorcerer. The production will also feature Serenade choreographed by George Balanchine to Tchaikovsky’s “Serenade for Strings in C.” Colorado Ballet is extremely excited to present a work by choreographer Ji?í Kylián for the first time—rounding out the program with Petite Mort, with music by Mozart.

Colorado Ballet Announces Cancellations And Updates To Its 60th Anniversary Season
July 29, 2020Colorado Ballet announced today the cancellation of two productions in its 60th Anniversary Season, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. All 2020 performances of Colorado Ballet's beloved production of The Nutcracker are canceled, along with the 2021 production of Ballet MasterWorks. Giselle, originally slated to take place in October, will replace Ballet MasterWorks, moving all performances out of 2020.
