Soprano Betty Garcés Bedoya born in Buenaventura has finished his studies of music and singing under the direction of the teacher Ivonne Giraldo in the Conservatory Antonio María Valencia in the city of Cali. I travel to Germany with the help of a group of friends and institutions in the city of Cali, in order to continue their studies and for which were prepared with Professor Lia Montoya in the city of Cologne. In 2012 he obtained with honours, the title of Master of Arts at the school of music of the city of Cologne, majoring in Opera and Lied under the guidance of the Professor Klesie Kelly Moog. He has also participated in master classes under the direction of Therese Waldner, Anja Harteros and Cheryl Studer.
In Colombia had their first experiences with Opera, to play the role of Cleopatra in the Opera "Giulio Cesare" by Handel, Violetta in Verdi's "La Traviate" Opera and Fiordiligi in the Opera "Cosi fan tutte" by Mozart directed by Maestro Francisco Vergara and under the musical direction of the teacher Ivonne Giraldo in the city of Cali.
In Germany he has participated in various productions of Opera, as well as on different Galas Opera and Lied recitals, performing repertoire of Mozart, Beethoven, Verdi, Brahms, Debussy, R. Strauss, Korngold, Schönberg, Rachmaninov and R. Wagner among others.
Betty Garcés was a finalist in Auditions for the program of young artists "Jette Parker Young Artists Program" of the Royal Opera House in London as well.
In 2014, he made his Debut at the Opera de Colombia, where I performed successfully the role of Liu in the Opera Turandot, as well as also was the guest soloist to sing at the re-opening of Teatro Colón of Bogotá with the Symphony Orchestra of Colombia where I interpret Heitor Villalobos "Amazon forest" under the direction of Maestro Claudio Cruz. That same year he played with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá "four last songs" by Richard Strauss, under the direction of the teacher Ligia Amadio, also was as a guest artist at the Congress of performing arts ISPA 2014 in the city of Bogotá and participated as a guest in the Lied from the city of Hannover festival closing concert "Neue Stimmen , Neues singen "concert which was held in the Hall of the radio station NDR Radial of Germany.
Betty Garcés was a member of the Junges ensemble Opera of Gelsenkirchen in the season 2013 / 2014, where interpreted the role of Janus in the Opera "Jenufa" Janacek among others. That same year she sang as a soprano in the Ninth Symphony of Beethoven, accompanied by the Orquesta Simón Bolívar of Venezuela and under the direction of maestro Diego Matheuz in Bogotá. In the year 2012 made his first national tour with recognized Colombian pianist Alejandro Roca. I interpret the role of Mimi in the Opera "La Boheme" in the city of Hanover and the Madam Euterpova in the Opera "Hilfe, Hilfe die Globolinks" Menotti at the State Theatre of the city of Münster's. I also play in 2011 the second Lady in the magic flute by Mozart at Gerling Quartier in the city of Cologne, under the direction de el Maestro Dr. Michael Hampe.
Betty Garcés includes within its operatic repertoire, the roles of the Countess in the marriage of Figaro, Mimi in la Bohème, Liu in Turandot, Sour Angelica, Micaela in Carmen, Antonia in the tales of Hoffmann, Amelia in Simón Bocanegra and Elisabeth in Tannhäuser.
Betty is currently a part of the programme "Solo Klasse" of the school of music, theatre and media of the city of Hanover, and under the direction of Professor Gudrun Pelker.
