The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park's world-premiere production of HAPPY WORST DAY EVER by Arlene Hutton will be performed "Off the Hill" at 14 Greater Cincinnati community centers from October 2 through October 31.

"The Playhouse is thrilled to be partnering with community arts centers in order to bring professional live theatre directly into neighborhoods across the region," said Education Director Mark Lutwak. "This is a play that will leave families with a lot to talk about."

HAPPY WORST DAY EVER, a world premiere written for the Cincinnati Playhouse by the noted playwright of Last Train to Nibroc, tells the story of a birthday party that doesn't happen, an unexpected upset on a favorite TV talent show and an unlikely friendship between the most popular girl in the fourth grade and the nerdiest boy at school, who have more in common than they imagined.

Mark St. Cyr (Jacob), Rae Dohar (Glorie), Anne Marie Damman (Emma) and Mariana Fernández (Chris) from The Playhouse's Bruce E. Coyle Intern Company will appear in HAPPY WORST DAY EVER.

Education Director Mark Lutwak will direct. Other members of the production team include Veronica Bishop (Technical Director), Roy W. Jones (Set Designer), Chad Phillips (Costume Designer), Jen Lampson (Props Designer), Grant W. Cambridge (Sound Designer) and Grace Rockstroh (Stage Manager).

HAPPY WORST DAY EVER will also tour area schools for grades three through six this fall, from October 5 through November 5. For more information about The Playhouse's education and outreach programs, contact the Education Department at 513/345-2242 or visit www.cincyplay.com.

Off the Hill is made possible by the Ohio Arts Council; The John A. Schroth Family Charitable Trust, PNC Bank, Trustee; The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation; and ArtsWave (formerly the Fine Arts Fund).
