Broadway Connection to Open 8th Season in Cincinnati

On September 12th and 19th, local Cincinnati dance studios, including Revere Dance Academy, Arabesque Dance Academy, andEncore Performing Arts will introduce their students to Broadway Connection Teachers, Robert Hartwell and Ramone Owens from the current cast of Broadway's MOTOWN. The 2-hour Broadway Connection Master Classes are scheduled at the each studio's home location in Cincinnati while Mr. Hartwell and Mr. Owens perform in the cast of MOTWON at the Aronff Center. In the elite Broadway Connection Classes, students and parents experience direct access to current working Broadway performers who share the technique, style and training required to work professionally in dance, theater, TV and film. Revere, Arabesque and over 25 more studios, schools and universities in the Cincinnati area have taken advantage of this rare opportunity to dance with Broadway's most elite artists in the comfort of their home spaces through Broadway Connection. And the community is thrilled to have the inspiration, passion, and energy of New York back again for the 8th season in a row. Following MOTOWN, the studios are scheduled to work with Broadway Connection Teachers in the TONY AWARD Winning productions of PIPPIN, KINKY BOOTS and more. Michelle Davis from Cincinnati's Miami Valley Ballet Theatre comments, "Broadway Connection is truly a one of a kind experience for our students and we will do it again and again in the future!"

ABOUT THE BROADWAY CONNECTION FACULTY: ROBERT HARTWELL & RAMONE OWNENS

Robert Hartwell is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan's prestigious Musical Theatre Program. Upon graduation, Robert joined the national and international tours of DREAMGIRLS. He then made his Broadway debut in MEMPHIS THE MUSICAL as Wailin' Joe and understudied all 3 male principal roles. Next, he joined Matthew Broderick on Broadway in NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT where he earned a nomination for the Fred Astaire Award for Best Male Dancer in a Broadway Show. He was then cast in the original Broadway production of CINDERELLA. And can now be seen on the first national tour of MOTOWN THE MUSICAL. Robert has been a proud Broadway Connection Master Teacher for over 7 years.

A Los Angeles native, Ramone Owens, joins the cast of MOTOWN after performing in Disney's ALADDIN, DREAMGIRLS, and MAN OF LA MANCHA. Ramone is a graduate of Boston Conservatory and proud Broadway Connection Teacher who is thrilled to share his experience with artists across the country.
