When Martín is hired to create a play for Chicago's youth about violence on the Southside, he's conflicted between the Northside institution funding him and the teenagers they believe they're “helping." Hoping to find a metaphor in the murder of Colombian soccer star Andres Escobar in 1994, Martín and his youth ensemble search for a story of a deeply divided city after an act of violence hits close to home.
