CBS News Senior Correspondent John Miller reports that the FBI found explosives inside the bunker where a five-year-old was held hostage in Alabama. The report was broadcast tonight, Feb. 5 on the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY (6:30-7:00 PM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Check out the report below.

Miller reports that FBI agents found a number of IEDs and homemade explosives inside the bunker. Miller also reports that the FBI and Alabama authorities believe that Jimmy Lee Dykes, the man who held the child inside the bunker, was planning to booby-trap it against the very kind of entry that the Hostage Rescue Team made, as well as set explosives to kill himself and 5-year-old Ethan in some dramatic ending.

Patricia Shevlin is the Executive Producer of the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY.
